My career as an educator, coach, mentor, and adventure guide has taken me through many landscapes, both in the U.S. and abroad. I’ve had the privilege of co-founding an international NGO, leading a team of Cambodians and Westerners in building a school and community center amidst the rice fields of Cambodia. Closer to home, I played a pivotal role in helping my local school district in Colorado reimagine education through a progressive model rooted in experiential and nature-based learning.
As a nature-connected coach, I walk alongside my clients as they step into nature as a doorway to uncovering their authentic desires. Together, we explore what more is possible, rewire limiting beliefs, and take meaningful action towards creating a more fulfilling life. Through my own journey of retreating into the forest to overcome burnout and re-energize my life, I’ve experienced firsthand the power of nature to help us heal, transform, and thrive.
Today, I’m living my dream on a beautiful mountain property nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. It’s both the home base for my coaching work and the sanctuary I share with my wife, three dogs, four cats, a bird, and our wildlife neighbors. Here, amidst the majesty of tall pine trees and a raging river, transformation takes root.

“I find huge value in working with Andrew. I am drawn to the nature-connected coaching model because I thrive in the outdoors and it’s where I’m most inspired to work on myself. Many of my most powerful life experiences have been in nature - on snowboards, mountain bikes, and hiking trails. Whether we’re sitting alongside the river on his property, hiking up a hillside, or talking on the phone, Andrew holds space with no judgment as I share my excitement and my struggles in life. I appreciate the strategies he shares to help me stay in the present moment and tune into the nature around me which stimulates my creativity. During my sessions with Andrew, I find myself feeling excited about new ideas for my future, and inspired to take action. I also find myself feeling grateful for all that I already have in my life.”

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Andrew for several sessions, including a full-day coaching retreat on his beautiful riverside property. Andrew creates a safe and secure space for his clients to be fully open, transparent, and organic. As a coach, Andrew has a gift in attaining deep attunement to the client and has advanced listening skills beyond the verbal context. He skillfully guided me in my own self discovery and helped me pinpoint what is essential for my growth and development. I would highly recommend Andrew for his coaching services, and if possible, get on his Colorado property for the maximum magical experience!"

“You should do it. You should get your team and get out into nature. It will open up the aperture. It will get you more grounded and connected to the work that you're doing. It's an excellent place to bond and it's an excellent place to think strategically. I 100% encourage every team to get out into nature, and especially to do it here with Andrew and Helena”

FAQ
-
What are the benefits of nature?Connecting with nature benefits your mind, body, and spirit. It helps reduce stress, anxiety, and burnout by grounding you in the present moment and fostering a sense of calm. Being in nature also enhances focus, creativity, and problem-solving, making it a powerful tool for personal and professional growth. Physically, time outdoors can boost energy levels, improve sleep, and strengthen the immune system. Emotionally, it fosters resilience, deepens self-awareness, and helps you reconnect with your authentic self. Ultimately, nature connection cultivates a sense of balance, clarity, and renewed purpose in your life.

How is coaching different than therapy?Coaching and therapy are both powerful tools for personal growth, but they serve different purposes. Therapy focuses on healing past wounds, addressing mental health concerns, and understanding patterns that affect well-being. It’s often about exploring the "why" behind behaviors and emotions. Coaching, on the other hand, is future-focused and action-oriented. It’s about identifying goals, overcoming obstacles, and creating a clear path forward. While therapy often delves into healing, coaching empowers clients to build on their strengths, develop new perspectives, and take concrete steps toward the life they want. Both can be complementary, depending on your needs and goals.
